ComEd’s proposed plan would provide $100 million per year in incentives, education and infrastructure support to remove barriers to electrification and deliver significant environmental and air quality improvements for communities

While many of our residents have dependable, affordable broadband internet, there is still a large portion of our community that lacks access to this critical tool. As part of the Accelerate Illinois Broadband Infrastructure Planning Program through the State of Illinois, Kankakee County is working to assess the broadband needs of the community. 

The meeting, organized by the City of Kankakee Economic and Community Development Agency, in partnership with the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Latino Small Business Partnership, will offer guidance to Hispanic-owned businesses. 

ComEd announced it has launched three new studies to better understand the technical and community challenges and opportunities presented by the clean energy transition envisioned by the newly enacted Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA).

The Illinois Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE) has created a set of resources to help entrepreneurs as they navigate the process of business ownership. The goal is to share easy-to-follow information on basic business concepts that business owners need to know in order to be successful.

The Kankakee Iroquois Ford Association of Realtors is partnering with the Kankakee County Farm Bureau to host a tire recycling event Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds. The event will run from 9:00 am- 12:00 Noon.
