Makers Madness is an online contest highlighting amazing manufacturers and their fantastic products made in our state. The contest is a partnership with Comcast Business, an innovation champion and technology provider to manufacturers across Illinois.
Four local products have been nominated including:
- Johnsonville Cheddar Brats – The famous sausage popular for backyard barbeques and tailgating.
- CSL Alburx – AlbuRx is a solution containing the most abundant protein in human plasma, albumin, which is produced by the liver. It is used to expand the volume of fluid in the vascular compartment and to replace naturally occurring albumin in patients whose bodies do not have enough of the protein in the blood stream (hypoproteinemia).
- CSL Zemaira – Zemaira is used to treat lung problems (emphysema) caused by a certain inherited disease (alpha-1-proteinase inhibitor deficiency).
- Greif NexDrum – The customizable Nexdrum; designed for easy handling, packaging individuality, and reducing plastic usage to protect our plant.
