Kankakee County ARPA Funds Available
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was established to help speed up COVID-19 recovery efforts. Kankakee County received $21.3 million in ARPA funds. The Kankakee County Board introduced the Respond, Revitalize, and Reinvest initiative is help distribute this funding within the community.
Businesses and organizations are encouraged to apply for a portion of this funding through the County. See the Kankakee County ARPA Funds Presentation 2022 for additional information including specifics on who can apply, how the funds can be used and how to start the application process.

*Governmental bodies have until December 2024 to determine where ARPA funds will be spent. Any money not spent by December 2026 must be returned to the federal government.
