ABC 7 Chicago: CSL Kankakee on Front Lines of Flu Fight

Kankakee County’s largest industry – global biopharm leader CSL Behring – was featured June 5 in a flu vaccine segment produced by ABC 7 Chicago.

According to the report, the company’s Kankakee site, currently undergoing a $250M expansion of its 1 million square foot operation, produces 13 million syringes of flu vaccine per season to meet World Health Organization projections for various flu strains.
 
CSL Kankakee, which employs 1,000+, is positioned to double capacity over the next 7 to 8 years in order to meet worldwide plasma therapeutics demand.
