Broadband Initiative Featured on Illinois News Center

An initiative to bring broadband service to all parts of Kankakee County is featured on Illinois News Center.

Illinois News Center was launched in summer of 2022 to tell stories of the people, innovation and businesses that define the state. The digital news and information site is the creation of the not-for-profit Northern Illinois Community Initiatives. NICI was founded by Nicor Gas as part of its commitment to the communities it serves. NICI and Nicor Gas partner with organizations, business and civic leaders to support revitalization projects through community investment, financial assistance, mobilizing resources and advocacy.
