Downtown Kankakee Historic Tax Credit Info Session

Downtown Kankakee was recently listed in the National Register of Historic Places. How can this honorary designation help to reduce redevelopment costs by 20% or more? On October 31, 2018, the community heard from a Momence developer who has successfully worked with the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency to use historic tax credits in a rehabilitation project. Guest speaker Nancy Porter of Van Drunen Farms presented on the redevelopment of the 1905 Momence State & Savings Bank Building to corporate office space.
