City of Kankakee Resident Fair Housing Survey

[The following letter and survey link are provided on behalf of our community partner, the City of Kankakee CDA. Please contact 815.936.3567 for more information.]

Dear Residents/Former Residents/Students/Employees who work in the City of Kankakee,

The City of Kankakee receives federal Entitlement Program funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) which are used to provide housing resources and programs for current and future homeowners. To receive funding from HUD, the City of Kankakee must develop a Consolidated Plan that identifies priorities and objectives for addressing the community needs over a five year period. As we are developing these procedures, the City wants you to have a voice in how these funds are utilized.

As a part of the planning process for the May 2015- April 2020 period we must ensure that impediments to Fair Housing are identified and addressed to improve Fair Housing practices for residents. This information is used to assist in developing strategies to overcome obstacles to Fair Housing.

Please assist us by completing the survey located at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PXMCKFN (click on the link or copy and paste the link into the address bar of your web browser, then select the most accurate answers to each question. The survey should take less than 10 minutes). We ask that only one survey per individual be submitted. This survey is anonymous and for information gathering purposes only.

If you have any questions about the use of the survey information please contact the Community Development Agency at 815-936-3567.

Thank you for your assistance in gathering this important information. It is with a great deal of excitement that the City hopes to offer residents and potential residents more extensive homeowner services in the future.

Sincerely,

Clifford Cross
