The local COAD and Kankakee County leadership have created a game plan for directing volunteers and the donation of physical items across our county.
A volunteer interest form went live today: www.myunitedway.org/volunteer This is how we will be assessing volunteers’ skills and availability, and will start soon start directing them to a central Volunteer Response Center.
We know people are passionate about jumping in to help, but we need to make sure we are being effective, efficient, and not sending volunteers into zones that aren’t yet cleared and safe.
In the meantime, here are a few other ways we are encouraging people to give back!

Donation of Funding | This Emergency Response Fund is a partnership between the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley and United Way.
