Olivet Nazarene University

Located in Bourbonnais, Olivet is considered one of the nation’s premier Christian colleges. With approximately 100 fields of study organized into four Schools and one College. Students are offered the opportunity to study in locations such as China, Costa Rica, England, Egypt, Romania, Russia, Uganda, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.

The School of Graduate and Continuing Studies offers nearly 20 master’s degrees in such fields as business, counseling, education, nursing, ministry, teaching and educational administration, as well as nontraditional adult degree completion programs and a Doctor of Education degree in Ethical Leadership.

Kankakee Community College

kccKCC awards associate degrees, associate in Applied Science degrees and certificates of completion. Students attend KCC both to prepare to transfer to four-year institutions and complete bachelor’s degrees and to prepare to enter the job market directly from KCC.

Through its office of Corporate and Continuing Education and its Division of Adult and Community Education, KCC offers custom training programs to meet the specific needs of area businesses and industries including workforce development and remedial development.

 

Governors State University

Governors State University (GSU) offers a variety of upper level and graduate degrees, certificate programs and special interest workshops at the Kankakee Education Center (KEC). The KEC opened in downtown Kankakee in May 2006. In a joint effort to bring affordable higher education to the Kankakee area, GSU worked with Kankakee Community College to make the Center a reality. GSU is dedicated to bringing accessible and affordable educational opportunities to the residents of Kankakee, Iroquois and Will Counties.
