As part of an ongoing strategic effort to boost economic development in Kankakee County, the Kankakee County Board and the Economic Development Association formed a public-private partnership in July 2007, creating the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County, Inc. This 14-member board is comprised of seven members of the Kankakee County Board and seven members of the private sector. The move brings a unified voice to local economic development. The Alliance is proud to be a leader in bringing together communities, businesses, labor and education, while developing and implementing strategies that foster economic prosperity for the residents of Kankakee County
The Economic Alliance of Kankakee County is a primary point of contact for businesses looking to expand or locate into any of the 20 communities that make up Kankakee County, Illinois. The Alliance offers a range of financial assistance packages, economic incentives and related services to help businesses succeed in the River Valley.
